Steel pipe and tube business for energy applications (1)
Kanematsu will expand the handling of steel pipe and tube for CCUS* and for geothermal power generation in order to promote expansion of sustainable green energy generation. We will develop and provide products in consideration of the environmental impact for conventional type energy generation, such as natural gas.
* CCUS: Abbreviation of “Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage,” which refers to the technology to separate and recover carbon dioxide (CO2) to be stored in the earth, etc.

At Benoit Premium Threading, LLC located in Houma, Louisiana, U.S., in which Kanematsu participates in the management, the strategy looking towards the next generation is being executed. The second manufacturing facility was built in Ennis, Texas, looking towards an increase in the demand for EOR(Enhanced Oil Recovery) such as re-fracturing and CCUS , and adoption of digital transformation (DX) is being promoted for the manufacturing lines for the purpose of improving the manufacturing efficiency. We will continue to be engaged in the business operations under a management capable of handling changes in the market needs in the future.
